Propaganda Summary After Snowwell's Animal Farm

The purpose of my propaganda poster is to encourage the animals to rebuild the windmill after Snowball supposedly destroyed it. The goal is to get them to desire to rebuild their precious windmill despite the fact that all their laborious work had been wasted. The argument my poster is making is that the animals have worked for too many grueling hours to give up now. If Snowball did indeed demolish the windmill simply to get his revenge and make them suffer, then the animals cannot let him triumph in his malice intentions. They must unite and cooperate anew to achieve their shared aspiration of completing the windmill. The intended audience are the animals on Animal Farm, excluding the pigs, who will have to labor twice the amount they were with a reduced amount of food in order to be able to finish the windmill at the desired time. This worked so well because the animals are quick to believe and stand by what is told to them. This is exemplified through the quote, “It had become usual to give Napoleon the credit for every successful achievement and every stroke good fortune” (93). In doing this, the animals view Napoleon as a symbol of prosperity. Crediting all the positive occurrences to Napoleon creates him appear to be a respectable leader, but can additionally make all his negative actions seem less negative to the animals because of all the amazing actions for which he is supposedly responsible. The animals on the farm tend to not think for themselves, so when they are informed that Napoleon is behind any good fortune that comes to them, they believe it without any doubt, which leads to the establishment of trust for their leader, regardless of his actions.
