Promote Inclusion and Respect for Diversity
In order to promote inclusion, public health does not categorize individuals based on who they are as a person, they categorize them based off of their health issues and disease programs (Nyswander, 1967). It makes it easier for public health officials to categorize individuals based off of disease programs because they will know what a specific individual needs and how to advance their lifestyle. When categorizing individuals based off of their disease programs, public health officials are grouping them together with others who also have the same health issues, which makes it easier for treatment.
