Equality means treating everybody equally regardless of their cultural background, financial background, abilities, beliefs, skin colour or their language. Equality does not only means treating everybody equal but it means treating everybody fairly. According to framework of EYFS 2017, every setting should provide every child with equal opportunity and fair treatment. No child should be excluded or discriminated because of their culture, religion, family background, ability, disabilities, learning difficulties or gender. These children are given chance to be part of normal school and learn alongside non-disabled students. I'm working with inclusive school and we have students with different learning difficulty like ADHA, mild autism, behavirol disorder, speech delay and a child whose gross motor skill are still developing. There are some important approaches of equality. One of them is 'Take an equal opportunities approach'. According to this approach all practitioners should take active part in ensuring that system process and practices are in place and everybody is treated fairly and equally. Everybody should be given equal and fair chance to achieve positive results. The barriers to achieve this should be removed as soon as possible and implement equality. The legal implementation of this approach has very effective and significant changes to improve equality and inclusion. In my setting, everybody is given opportunity to work and progress. Appointments are done on the basis of their performance and experience and not on the bases of looks, gender, age or caste. The advantage of this approach is that this prevents discrimination. It provides same opportunities to all. This approach helps in removing barriers to achieve inequality and positive result. This approach helps everybody to demonstrate their capabilities and treated fairly.
