It's been six years since Gaea and I have escaped into the forest. The past six years have been great years, better than all the time I spent at that dreadful city. I tell her about my thoughts of my brothers that need to be freed. I tell her about my urge to break back into the city and she's on board with my plan.

The plan itself however is quite risky, it would take at least a few days for it to come into full effect since it's only Prometheus and me. Though it may take a few days it'll be worth it. All our brothers will experience true freedom, they will be their own gods! To retrieve our brothers will involve something that Prometheus and I both don't want to do: return to the city. I tried to think of at least a hundred ways of saving them without returning, but it was

The dog was charging at me at full speed then the guards started running towards me at full speed, I've never been flooded with such great amounts of emotion ever in my life, I just pushed the remaining brothers outside and we began sprinting towards the woods. We were halfway to the woods when the three guards with rifles began shooting at us. I don’t think the guards were trained very well with guns since we escaped unscathed, or so I thought. When we got to the camp we made sure all the brothers were gathered by the house. As I was almost done with the head count Gaea collapsed to the ground. I didn’t understand what had happened completely until I saw the blood coming from her tunic, I guess one of the guards was a good shot after

As I stared across the bullet-torn battlefield I wondered how I ended up here; hiding behind a crumbling wall, clutching my gun as though it were a lifeline. How the young kid I'd once been now bore a dirty, camouflage patterned uniform. There I was, contemplating my life in the middle of a battle. I shouldn't have been surprised when a hand suddenly shot out in front of my face and smacked me upside the head. It was so unexpected that I nearly stumbled out from behind the rubble and right into the bullet whizzing by.…

It was cold and ordinary evening on March 5, 1770, when I was walking down King street with my friend Henry. As were walking past the Custom House a young wig maker's apprentice walked up to a British soldier and insulted him because he had not payed for a wig. Another British soldier had walked out and scolded the young boy for disrespecting a British soldier. The boy exchanged insults with the soldier so he pulled out his musket and struck the boy on the side of the head. A stream of chills rushed through my body when I witnessed that.…

My foot fell asleep as I was crammed inside the dark closet hiding from them. I could hear the faint gunshots in the distance, yet, as time passed by, the gunshots became louder and louder. The gun smoke which leaked in through the walls, made me nauseous as it filled my lungs like a gas chamber. Though I dared not to cough, in fear that someone would find me. Nauseous and confused, I listened to them as they were all yelling something in German.…

When choosing a play to produce for modern audiences, I searched through many production. However, the play I would reimagine is the Ancient Greek tragedy Prometheus Bound written by Aeschylus. The narrative of Prometheus tells the tale of Prometheus, a titan, who steals fire from the Gods to give to humans to further their society. For this act, Zeus condemns Prometheus to be chained to a rock and is tortured.…

I have conquered numerous mountains, but I might not be able to climb another one. Back in August 2015, I and my friends took a trip to East Java as a graduation present for ourselves. There were 3 mountains in our itinerary: Mount Merapi, Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. My father once said that a good mountain climber should have three essentials: strength, determination and humbleness. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the last one as I used to be an arrogant person that time.…

The Ethics of Prometheus Bound Can ethical theories determine the goodness or badness of a fictional character? While these belief systems can certainly be applied to fiction, there can be no single moral interpretation for a story, because ethical systems vary so greatly. Christian deontological ethics, Kantian deontological ethics, and consequentialist ethics all have individual ways of assigning moral value to actions. In Aeschylus’ tragedy Prometheus Bound, Prometheus steals fire from the Gods to save humanity and bring them a better life.…
