Prometheus: Ancient Greek Myth

Prometheus is believed to be a Titan from ancient Greek Mythology that when translated means forethought. He was very intelligent and clever and did what he wanted no matter what he was told. He is known for giving the power of fire and metalwork to humans. After which he was punished for, by Zeus for giving the powers to humans. He was then tied to a rock and every day an eagle ate his liver, but he was immortal, so each night his liver would grow back, and the eagle would return. Equality 7-2521 chose this name for himself because he felt like he related to Prometheus. Equality had also given a powerful and useful gift to the human race that would help. He was then punished for it,instead of them utilizing the gift that could have helped to advance them in life. She was one of the first goddesses created and she helped in creating many others. Gaea was seen as the great mother of all. (Gaia) She is believed to have helped create the earth and given birth to both the Titans and the human race. Equality 7-2521 chose this name for Liberty 5-3000 because he saw her as the one that was going to have his kids and help replenish the earth. She was also the first and only girl around, since they were in the Uncharted forest. Liberty 5-3000 was going to be seen as the mother of everything. Also, because Gaea was “mother of the earth” it relates to the fact that Liberty had the job of working in the fields with nature. Ayn Rand chose these name for Equality and Liberty because overall they fit the roles of both characters
