Project X Movie Analysis

Project X is "an astounding movie about adolescence a brutal, unapologetic comedy about the fantasy every high school kid carries around in his head about being popular and cool and beloved". The reviewer George Doel disagrees with multiple aspects of the movie such as the movie being very offensive. I believe George Doel is wrong because the movie is a party and about having fun not caring so nothing should be offensive, its for teens.

Firstly, George Doel speaks about the actors, the way they speak to each other is offensive. For instance, in the movie he says offensive dialogue is spoken by Costa. Costa only cares about himself and he couldn't care less if his friend's house is destroyed. However, I think that it's just the role he plays,

For people who are older than us, it wouldn’t be as entertaining or funny. For instance, in the movie they make humorous jokes about overweight, little, and old people, this joke could offend some people and other people may find it funny. Everyone has their opinion to what would be funny. So, the reviewer would be wrong for saying the style of the movie is bad because its not just his opinion, the movie was based for teenagers.

Furthermore, the reviewer has also stated that there is no comedy, which I disagree. What one person think is funny another person may not. There are a few things that certain people would laugh. The movie is funny but just in different aspects of the movie for people. For example, in the movie there is a scene where they put an actual midget in the oven, or mindless swearing for it's own sake. Only some people will find that actually funny. In this case the reviewer didn’t find it funny because he g, just to have a movie of teenage partying going out of control.

Therefore, the reviewer is wrong, one person may have a different opinion to yours. The reviewer that reviewed project X describes the movie as having a bad style, an horrible excuse for comedy and it happens to be offensive. I can tell why the reviewer would have said that, but since it’s a party movie its ok for it to be out of control that’s how the director made the movie for it to be that

While I loved many things about this movie, I must say that if you don't necessarily enjoy musicals, you definitely wouldn't like this movie. There were so many songs in this movie that they played almost every 5 minutes which I believed interfered with the story and made it seem less realistic because I have never seen a group of people singing and dancing outside my window. I think a few of the most catchy songs would have added a bit of fun to the movie but so many made it more of a…

The Criticisms of Huckleberry Finn The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel that has been almost equally celebrated and protested for its widely controversial content. Its novel is well known as a self-described plotless, meaningless retelling of the story of Huckleberry Finn, yet read only one chapter and you’ll instantly see how inaccurate that description is. It’s a coming of age story, one satirizing the rampant racism of the time and the culture of that time in general. However, despite its seemingly innocent plot and progressive message, there are several solid arguments as to why it doesn’t have the literal merit many give it credit for.…

This video is aimed towards showing homosexuals as dangerous people, and how they cannot be trusted. The director doesn’t show how straight people prey on young kids more often than homosexuals. This film has no back up or a claim to what it is presiding, it is stating random facts in which they believe to be true. This film lacks credibility, and the film is extremely biased and showcases homosexuals as a threat or a virus that will be caught if not careful. This film tries to make everything about homosexuals a bad thing, that being homosexual is dangerous and that you should go near one.…

Jenna Yun Mr. Leckey AP Psychology Period 6 10/30/15 AP Psychology Extra Credit Movie Quarter 1 Overall, my thoughts on the film, The Silver Linings Playbook, were positive. I found it interesting that the author decided to connect mental disorders and dancing together. The fact that Pat, played by Bradley Cooper, and Tiffany, played by Jennifer Lawrence, were able to overcome their mental illnesses by dancing together was significant. In addition, the movie showcased the changes in a family relationship really well and had unique characters that were different from previous movies I saw. For example, Pat’s father has OCD and believed in superstition, while Pat’s mother looked over the family quietly.…
