My goal and purpose for attending Job Corps is to fulfill my dream in having a high school Diploma and a career. I came to Job Corps to make something out of myself and show people I can do anything, if I put my mind, my heart and my dedication into it. I know and feel Job Corps is a place that can help me pursue my future dream of becoming a professional chief. Job Corps is a federally funded program that helps young people between the ages of 16 through 24 years old to better themselves by providing a high school diploma and a trade. This program even offers many other opportunities which I plan to take good advantage of .
I really believe Job Corps can help me fill the void that is missing in my life as a result of not finishing high school. It will give me a new start in life. One of the trades that Job Corps offers is Culinary Arts. I believe this is a trade that will assist me in reaching my goal of becoming a professional chief. I believe my desire of being a chief is where I am meant to be. I promise myself to complete the Job Corps program and commit myself to hard work that will pay off in the end. I am committed to using my time and experience wisely for studying, while attending Job Corps, and after I graduate. Once I get the feel of something, I realize I cannot stop what I have started. I

Job corps gave me the most exciting experience of my life because of the dormitory living. It makes me feel like I am in college. I have five roommates and a nice size bathroom with lockers to lock our things away. Job corps is really helpful as far as meeting new people and working to reach my goals. We are provided with uniforms, chores and responsibilities. Most importantly, we have our independence, while attending the Job Corps.
