Project Mentor Reflection

I would like to say I excelled in self-management, there were times when I would fail to meet with my personal project mentor weekly but I did always keep her updated with emails or talking about it in the little bits of time I would catch her and talk and walk. I also kept up with dates in my process journal and times; there was never a time I wrote in my physical process journal that I did not record the time and the date at which I was doing these tasks or completing that research. If I were to make a timeline of all the research I have completed from the beginning to the end of my personal project, I would be able to mark the information completely honestly because I did keep track of dates. The only aspect for self-management I will I had done better is the talking to my mentor. Many of the wonderful ideas I received, were inspired from my mentor and without her many of the primary ideas I had about my personal project would not be a reality today. Although I did face some obstacles keeping my mentor updates over all with the aspect of self-management in my personal project; I most definitely think i exceeded in that portion of my personal project.

The physical process journal, has dates, times and sources to which I visited; it also has a list of all the things I did and the things that I still hope to do. This process journal helped me a lot throughout the process of the personal project because it did not once exit my backpack from the start of August till Winter Break; this gave me the opportunity to work on my project at all

First, review the self-management tools discussed in chapter 4 on pages 147-154 (Monthly calendar, Next actions list, Tracking form, Waiting-For List, Project Folder, 32-Day commitment form). Discuss in another paragraph which of these tools, other than the monthly calendar tool, seem like a good choice(s) for your self-management system, including examples from your life of how you can use them. I think monthly calendar tool and next actions list tool seem like a good choice for my self-management system because it is easy to understand and it’s helpful to reach goals. For example, sometime I forgot to do the important things like to do my homeworks and forgot to turn in it on the due date, so I lose a lot of point. But if I use monthly calendar or next actions list tools, I think it will help me to remember to do my homeworks and the due…

The context of this reflective assignment is within the workplace with a colleague. We are both serving members of the Defence Forces and sessions were conducted mainly in the workplace, with one session conducted externally as it was logistically suitable for both parties involved. While the coaching was within the organisation no tri- or multi-party contract was necessary. A bilateral contract was negotiated as the coaching was on a voluntary basis and the goal/outcomes were identified by the coachee. Rationale for chosen reflection I have chosen to reflect on the following example as the importance of the coaching contract was highlighted from the initial session.…

Throughout working on this project, I have learned a huge amount of new information that I didn’t think that I would learn. I can honestly say that I am glad that I chose such a broad subject for my senior project because it allowed me to learn all kinds of different things from different aspects of the subject. Through picking what my actual project is about, writing my research paper, to creating a product and to writing this letter now, this project has let me learn new things that I will be able to teach others about. When beginning this project, being a new concept, I was worried that it would be very difficult and stressful. Given the time that we have had, I was able to spread out all the work and get each aspect of the project finished one-by-one in a non stressful manner.…

Looking back on the past couple weeks on the project, I think we have done some valuable work that will help us on making our final conclusions with this project. This task differed from the way I normally do things as like I said in the last journal, English is not usually a group project class. I have greatly improved my communication with the team which is the key to success when in a group. Even though we have done previous projects with each other, there is always room for improvement in communication which I think we have all worked well to get better at. Some difficulties that we as a group have faced would be mainly finding a day in common with each other, and the person we interview as sometimes our schedules are so busy with sports,…

At the beginning of last year, I decided to dedicate myself to school and learning with the hope of being successful in the business world.
