Ce2 Vs Pmbok

Working as a Project manager in new training facility to train IS an employee for IT industry has its advantages. For this, I have to choose among the project management techniques available such as PMBOK and PRINCE2. Both of them have its advantages and disadvantages so first I need to analyze which one is better for such case. Various texts available on PMBOK and PRINCE2 provides good overview of both the techniques; I am summarizing the key points from both then will decide which one will suit in the given scenario.

• PRINCE2 is more prescriptive than PMBOK project management techniques. Prince2 is based on a methodology where PMBOK can be considered as a body of knowledge of best project management practices (Lientz, 2011).
• Prince2 is a process-friendly project management technique while the PMBOK is knowledge-friendly project management technique.
• PRICE2 can be understood and applied by anyone who has or doe not has any knowledge in project management. While the PMBOK will require the persons to be trained in the project management techniques and the procedures it follows (Lientz, 2011).
