To help raise awareness in the at-risk population by teaching good hygiene practice such as proper hand washing. Hand washing is the single most vital in infection control measure in help prevent disease. Accurate hand washing can limit both cross infection and contamination. The type and availability of hand washing facilities influence how often and how adequately wash their hands. Water that runs from a tap preferred with proper handwashing. If handwashing is not properly carried out the hands would remain contaminated (Organiztion, 2001). COAHB plan of action to have hand washing stations and instruction on how to properly hand washing. The station would have liquid soap, non-hand taps and disposal paper towel. The instruction will visibly and has pictures to demonstrate the proper handwashing. To carry out this plan of action COAHB will be working with The Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing with Soap (PPPHW).
