Project Based Learning Experience

There have been many experience in my life that have lead me to pursue college and get back into the swing of learning. Many of these experiences come from people that I work with in the army, project based learning back in high school and going to boards in the army to learn more about the army. People I work with, since I have been in the army, people have really challenged me to get back into school, one person being my section sergeant. He is getting back into school the same time I am. One day we were in the hallway just talking about college and one thing led to another, he proposed a challenge to me which was to get back into school, one to better myself, two to enhance my skills in the army and three to excel in my career. Project based learning truly showed me the way of life and thinking when it comes to college. The way of learning at this high school truly showed me what I needed to be able to do and can accomplish while here at CCU. Goals of being able to better myself as a man of god, taking on the challenge of accomplishing task of school work and bring in innovation to my school work. Army boards are another challenge that I personally have ran into that required college level thinking and research. Going to a board requires you to learn everything in the army, all the in’s and out’s. This goes from studying more than two hundred pages of army policy’s, remembering army creeds, and showing intelligence within the board. Army boards have shown me that getting back into college and expanding your academic mindset is the only way for career progression. Through high school, the army, and the people I work with, I have truly had an eye opening experience. They have shown me that my academics play a huge part in the army and in everyday life. This has influenced and help set goals for where I want to see myself here at
