It was far from love at first sight, though. In fact, I didn’t even find him attractive when I got my first glance. Less than a month later, he asked me on a date. My mother has always encouraged me to keep an open mind when it comes to boys, because she had doubts about my father when he began to pursue her. Twenty-six years of demonstrating nothing but true love and happiness persuaded me to say yes. Our first date was at Sunset Rock on Lookout Mountain. I tend to be shy around guys and I was scared I wouldn’t know what to talk about. However, he and I sat down and talked for two and a half hours. Ethan and I scored almost identical in this area and I love that. We both use intuition to perceive information. I think it’s important for couples to be similar in this aspect because otherwise, there would be plenty of room for conflict. For example, if I was dating a guy who was a sensing type, I think he would be more likely to see my thoughts and ideas as impractical or unrealistic and that would just piss me off. As intuitive types, Ethan and I encourage each other to think outside the box. We often compare our thoughts and ideas and it makes for great discussion.
