The M&M artifact shows the results of a project we did, which include four people opening up a bag of M&M's we picked separated the colors and found out the averages of each color. I created this spreadsheet using a google document, some of the tools I used consisted of gathering data and documenting the data we came up with. After that I color coded the M&M colors by filling in the background and also created a pie chart to show the data we gathered. I could use a project like this in several different occasions in my class any project I do with my students I could have them incorporate a pie chart and collecting data is something we will be doing throughout our school year. I meet the above standard by collaborating with students, peers and…

The schools on native nations need to ask what the outstanding educational pedagogies are for the native students and how to implement those practices into the classroom instruction. The Accelerated School Project makes changes to the school curriculum, instruction, and organization which the Navajo Nation School didn’t do so well due to the disconnection with mainstream schools. The artifact I chose for standard 6 was the letter I wrote to my student’s parents for PED 356. This letter was sent to the parents of the student to inform them of the behavior I noticed, improvements made through out the semester, and skills that could be worked on at home. The letter to parents from PED 356 relates to Element 6.4 because in the letter I demonstrate my ability to discuss some weaknesses that could be improved in a respectful and sensitive manor. I first discussed in the letter the great personality the student expressed during class and all the improvement she made through out the semester.…

The artifact that i chose was the family and community resources chart we did in ECD 205. I chose this artifact because I thought I did a good job on making this resources chart for family and giving the parents some useful resources that they can use when they are in need of some help. What I learned by making this chart was that it is important to have some kind of chart, brochure, or newsletter that you can passes out for parent who might not know about the different kinds of resources that are available to them for their children and family. Especially with families who are from a different country or don’t speak English as their first language it is important to help them and guide them in supporting their child because all parent want…

Reflection When signing up to take the Final Project Course this fall I was extremely nervous and not excited to start. Walking into the first day of class and learning more about what the final project would entail, I did feel slightly better but still scared that it was going to be too overwhelming and hard to complete by myself. Luckily, the individual meetings and emails with my professor made everything much more clear and inviting. These final project meetings were very helpful in terms of receiving constructive criticism and then going back home to make changes to the paper.…
