Professor Faden Fair Use

Decent Essays
Professor Faden did not steal a full work from Disney, it was only a small amount of it and was

used for educational purposes. So, Faden can use Fair Use as a defense against Disney, just

because Disney has more lawyers doesn’t mean they can win every case. Also. Faden used the

work respectfully, it was created to show the Copyright laws telling people everything they

shouldn’t do so they don’t get in trouble. I think without this video, there would be a lot more

people using too much of people’s work because they don’t know how Copyright works. Disney

should see Professor Faden as a hero, not because he used their work, obviously, but he used

them as an example to show people that Disney hates people that use their work, however

In the essay “What’s Happened to Disney Films?” author John Evans states the concerns of parents with regards to Disney motion pictures and how they are not as child-friendly as they were in the 1960’s compared to the 1990’s. Evans focus on the issues brought about in these films ranging from the use of profanities to violence, which should not be in Disney films. I understand the logic behind the authors position, he believes that the content of Disney films has taken a turn for the worse. Firstly, the author states that Disney has become a conglomerate having many subsidiaries and that it has had troubling effects on what Disney considers child-friendly.…

I think the video, A Fair(y) Use Tale, is fair use and that Eric Faden is not infringing anything from Disney. The videos purpose was to teach others about fair use, using disney clips, and in the law of fair use it states that you can use it for criticism, parody, news reporting, and teaching. Which this video is following for education purposes. Although he is using clips from different disney movies and such, the clips are not too long to be considered copyright infringement. And he didn't use enough clips for it to be copying too.…

Although the Walt Disney company seems innocent in American society, it is actually a facade hiding the ugly true purpose of the organization. For more than ninety years, Disney has been hiding subliminal messages and Satanic symbols in its productions. Not only are these messages racist, sexual, and Satanic, but they are also poisoning children and taking away their innocence. Who would think twice about America’s favorite multi-billion dollar industry geared for teaching children “pure and worthwhile lessons”? The Walt Disney Company (Disney) utilizes a related diversification strategy. Related diversification “involves diversifying into businesses whose value chains possess competitively valuable ‘strategic fits’ with value chain(s) of [a] firm’s present business(es)” (Geiger, 2004). Strategic fits occurs when value chain activities of diverse businesses are similar to current opportunities for cross-business sharing or transmitting of the resources and capabilities that facilitate these activities (Thompson et al., 2016, p. 217). Disney utilizes this strategy with its numerous businesses organized into its five divisions of its business units (BUs): media networks, parks and resorts, studio entertainment, consumer products, and interactive media,…
