Professionalism: A Career As A Pharmacist

In my opinion, professionalism means responsibility, well-organized skills, and moral. First of all, responsibility is the crucial feature of professionalism. As a pharmacist, I have to responsible for my career, for my patients, and my employer as well as I have to responsible for my wife, my family, and myself. Responsibility means I must accomplish my duties as best as I can. If I have the problems, I should afford to find the solution instead of giving up. Next, the other vital feature of professionalism is well-organized skills because the pharmacy could not be in good standing without the well organization. Third, professionalism means moral. Basically, moral means more than ethic which is the principle between right and wrong. Indeed, moral also means the way how we treat our patients. In fact, moral is a crucial concept in healthcare system. Indeed, I always spend time to communicate to the patients especially the elderly patients because the more I understand them, the more I can help them. Therefore, I am patient to them, and always ready to assist them. Moreover, I treat my patients with no discrimination in their races, their genders, and their sexual orientations. Finally, moral could be the hand writing of the pharmacists or prescribers. In fact, in my opinion, the prescription should be typed so that the information is more clear and accurate. However, if we have to write the prescriptions, they should be legible. It is unethical to write illegible prescriptions because they increase the medication errors. Although I believe many people do not pay attention in their writing, it is necessary to know in order to become a professional student.
