Professional Strengths And Weaknesses

I learned during this journey that to be an effective leader, you must know your professional strengths and weaknesses. The Marine Corps has a written leader’s code, which I used as a guideline to make an honest evaluation of my team and my own leadership. We were able to improve our weak areas and exploit our strong areas. The Leader’s Code is, as follows:
I become a leader by what I do. I know my strengths and my weaknesses and I strive constantly for self-improvement. I live by a moral code with which I set an example that others can emulate. I know my job and I carry out the spirit as well as the letter of orders I receive. I take the initiative and seek responsibilities, and I face situations with boldness and confidence.
