Prior to taking this class I have taken other courses in crisis management. For example, when I was going to school to get my degree in education. We had to develop a crisis plan for all platforms within a school. Smaller crisis's, such as in class disturbances and larger entire school evacuations. Communication plays one of the most essential roles in any organization. With just one single link in the line of communication failing, the whole structure can collapse upon itself. Knowing this, planning and preparation are the most essential components to overcoming a critical event. If the organization is prepared for the critical event before it happens, then all parties within the organization will understand their role which will ensure the line of communication does not break down. Having solidified the line of communication will ensure an easier resolution to any critical event that may come Kelsey Middle School's
