I had a chance interview Professional Mental Health Counselor on October 19, 2015, I had an opportunity to meet K.W. an License Professional Counselor-Mental Health (LCPC). Ms. K.W. also is licensed Therapist she services men and women struggling with Substance Abuses problems and Mental Health what we call now co-occurring disorder in an outpatient setting.

K.W. case load can be from the customer Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Therapy, Family Counseling, and Group Session doing a course of the day. As a Professional Counselor and seeing clients K.W. have to maintain Client-Counselor confidentiality refer to the ACA Code of ethic (2005) and Chapter 3, Ethical and legal issues in Counseling( Erford, 2010, p.67). K.W. do a Clinical assessment that includes the client and family with the permission of the customer .with client's assessment this will give K.W. information of what new customers’ needs and if needed refer the client to psychiatric for mental health evaluation for mental health disorders. K.W. engage in multicultural working with a client of various cultural backgrounds respecting their cultural belief and morals is critical for the Counselor and clients. As a Mental Health Counselor and Therapist realistic goals helps the customer facing growth in recovery. I have realized that Mental Health Counselor plays a huge role in client’s lives, having compassion and readiness helping clients in a life crisis or trauma. You as the Mental Health Counselor should always have an open heart and a listening ear.
No Discrepancies What I have seen so far is that Walden University has given their student an excellent guide to being a Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor. So, for right now I can say that if we follow the learning material t way to health we should be will on our way in our journey in the Mental Health Counselor Field. Do not get me wrong can learn things every day, right I have no problem. The information was very informative.
A Better Understanding
I understand that a Professional Mental Health Counselor works diligently to make sure the clients who are facing a crisis because of a disaster still get the care that they need in a crisis. Our jobs are to assist them while there is an emergency.
The Light Came On Accountability is as important as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor your job is to make sure you have proper documentation.
