Who I Am In multiple instances, it is effortless to categorize someone based on only one aspect of their life or a limited knowledge of who they are. However, this often provides an unclear view of what causes them to act the way they do. In order to get the complete picture of who I am, it was necessary to ask others what they thought of me, so, I asked my mother and my uncle to give me some personal feedback. It appears that my mother's feedback would be credible, despite her close relationship to me, due to her ability to assess people and situations with an objective eye. Similarly, my uncle appears to have been able to put aside any personal conflicts and give me an objective opinion making him a rather credible source. More specifically, she stated that I am “patient and tolerant” but lack tolerance for those who are inconsiderate or disrespectful (C. Marose, Personal Communication, December 5, 2015). This embodies my abilities to deal calmly and patiently with some situations while lacking those same qualities. In my opinion, some trying situations are more deserving of my time than others. Additionally my mother claimed that I am “loyal to a fault” in that I tend to hold grudges and lose respect for those who hurt the people I am close with, (C. Marose, Personal Communication, December 5, 2015). While I would like to disagree with this statement, since it isn’t my most positive quality, it appears to be quite accurate in many situations. For example, if someone does something to hurt a friend or family member, an simple apology usually isn’t enough to return to my good graces. My mother has also described me as “thoughtful” and mentioned that I was “born knowing how to organize”(C. Marose, Personal Communication, December 5, 2015). These traits have allowed me to grow into an exceptional student, and good friend. I believe these tendencies are a few of my most admirable strengths.
