From being able to kayak to knowing how to be a part of a community that is what I learned being an Idahoan is, However, what it should also mean to be an Idahoan is to be educated. I believe these types of opportunities would be available to me at the PLFSOM and in El Paso in general. Ever since I was a child I wanted to help people and didn’t realize how, until I stepped foot in my 7th grade science class. The day still replays in my mind like it was yesterday. I was walking into a new school, with new people, and I felt like the last leaf stuck on the tree, waiting to fall in place where I belonged, but oddly enough, this one basic anatomy and physiology class made me feel welcomed. What made me feel welcomed wasn’t really the teacher or the students in there, but the environment of that particular branch of science. What was so amazing about that side of science was there was always more to learn and more importantly you were learning about yourself.…

Only being an undergraduate student at Indiana University, I am not bountiful of professional experiences. My professors and peers notice my themes and personal qualities daily. Just the other day, I was making an informative presentation with a group that I led and the professor asked for our printed slides and after realizing no one printed them, I checked the time, knew I could run to a lab and print the slides in the time period, then ran to a lab. My group gave up, my members stood there beating themselves up for forgetting the task, not thinking about how they can make the situation better.…

The main reason why I think that HACC is the best choice for me is because of the cost. The rates per credit are around $250 and that is for in-state residents. The total cost for a commuter would be around $13,750 for a student who is full time, which means they are taking 12 credits per term (Stager). This price of $13,750 includes the price of books, supplies, food, and transportation and it is an average price for all HACC students (HACC.edu). I think that I could easily cut some of the cost by trying to buy my books online for a cheaper price or even eating at home to save a lot of money.…

Keeping my three personal and professional goals realistic, I would have to say a personal goal is to finish school at SNHU with a 3.0 GPA or above. I think a way for me to accomplish this goal is to stay focused on the tasks at hand, maintain a good relationship with my advisors and to utilize some of the tutoring options that are available to me as a student. Another personal goal is to work on myself, mentally. I cannot be a good mom or wife when I have the stress, anxiety and depression that I do. A way to help accomplish this goal is to not only start speaking with a psychiatrist (first appointment is August 4th) but to also have my thyroid checked.…
