As a pharmacist and health care professional, my goal is to improve the lives of people by raising public awareness regarding health issues. Hence, I decided to have a career in clinical research. As a clinical research associate and country study specialist, I was involved in clinical trials and wanted to ensure what I am doing now is what patients need next through contributing to the innovation of new medicines. However, I realized that treating serious diseases is not enough, increasing public health awareness, prevention, early detection and monitoring of diseases are key factors as well. In order to achieve this, I need to attain the knowledge, proper training and skills through the program of Masters in Public Health at the American University of Beirut. This program will not only teach me about the issues that affect the population health but also how to handle and avert the health problems and challenges that arise within the community. …show more content…
As an ambitious and eager public health graduate, I will have a responsibility to tackle the challenges of improving health outcomes and increased life span by overcoming the obstacles. I will be able to do so with the help of comprehensive understanding of the different public health specialization through the Masters program. I want to pursue Masters of Public Health with concentration in epidemiology and biostatistics to study the distribution and determinants of diseases and adverse events outcomes in human populations as well as those associated with their control and prevention through designing and implementing studies that will impact health care development
