Professional Development Report: Child Life Emission

I went to a Child Life meeting for my professional development report. The meeting is put on by the Child Life organization. The Child Life organization is all about promoting the child life profession. The profession is a Child Life Specialist that speaks to child in childlike terms about their illness. A CCLS can help patriate patients overcome their biggest fears about their hospital stay with therapeutic activities. Activities not only to help the patient but the siblings of the patient as well. Lastly, a CCLS can help parents of patients by displaying how to comfort the patient and decode what the doctors are doing with their child. The organization does a lot to promote the work of a child life specialist. They do this by having meetings
