The past thirteen years of my professional career have been spent in three different roles. For two years, I worked as an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. After moving on from that role, I worked at Daratech for five years as a Research Associate. Since 2011, I have been with Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan as an Executive Assistant. During this time, I worked full-time in addition to earning my Bachelor’s Degree in English from UMass Boston and Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management from Northeastern University.
At the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) I worked behind the scenes; reviewing medical records, formatting client resumes, and supporting the office as needed. My duties included researching company and financial data for market specific reports provided to industry leading clients. As part of the research, I interviewed players in the AECO, PLM and GIS market to obtain company and financial forecasts. I also developed news web content for Darachtech’s subscription website. The private organization closed in 2011 due to CEO retirement.
I have been working Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan for the last six years. I came aboard as an Administrative Assistant and worked my way to Executive Assistant. My initial role was supporting the Claims processing and Customer Care area. Currently, I support the Chief Information Officer, 3 IT Vice Presidents and the IT department. Additionally, I assist the Vice President of Marketing and Marketing department. I provide heavy calendar management scheduling with internal and external individuals, reporting and ad-hoc tasks.
