Why should professional athletes get more money than a firefighter who saves lives? On average, a NBA play makes 4.9 million dollars. This says a lot about our society and the fact that we would pay more for entertainment rather than our safety. Athletes like Tom Brady gets paid more for one game than an average American worker does in a lifetime. Tom Brady makes almost one million dollars per game while an American worker makes this much in a lifetime. People deserve a better living than they get today. Athletes do not deserve as much money as they get while there are many other more difficult lives.
