Honor is what helps us to make mindful decisions not only at work but also in our daily lives. That honor prevents us from abusing the military power. The creed of the noncommissioned officer states that we will not use our grade or position to attain pleasure, profit and or personal safety; such fundamentals from the very beginning were in us using the Profession of Arms. With this honor comes great responsibility to do the right thing even if it means being the outcast. Along with our honorable service, we also have esprit de corps that empowers us and binds us together. For the Army, esprit de corps is the winning spirit within the Army Profession, embedded in the culture, sustained by traditions and customs, which fosters cohesive and confident units with the courage to persevere. This winning spirit unites us to fight the same battles and strive to continue to serve our nation. Finally, the last character of the Profession of Arms is the stewardship of the Army Profession. Stewardship of the Army Profession allows us to pass on our knowledge and guarantee that the future Army operation is just as honorable as the ones today. This means educate other Soldiers and civilians to better our future.
