The post states that society needs abortion in order to deal with rape and incest. It further explains that abortion protects rapists, and allows child predators to continually offend.
The post on now.org resonates with me. I believe that all women should maintain autonomy over their bodies. I cannot believe this continues to be a debate, each and every year. I see pro-choice just as that, the right to choose. Not to be restricted by government or others opinions and beliefs. While I respect the conflict between pro-choice and pro-life, I strongly believe that we as a society must maintain it as a woman’s choice.
I had to read the post on newwave.com a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly. The stance that reason abortion is necessary is because of rape and incest, and protects these offenders is at the very least disturbing. It further goes on to say that clinics must be held accountable for the “abortion lie”. Nothing about the right of the individual woman is addressed.
