I would always wait until the last minute to do everything, including studying for exams, getting to class or even finishing a simple, classroom assignments. But it really didn’t dawn on me until my high school experience was over that I had a major problem with procrastinating. Due to my own action I was unable to graduate with my class so I withdrew from school and decided to just obtain my GED. At first is seemed like it took forever to just find a school that I felt was good enough for me, and that was no easy task because I found the smallest thing to complain about. Knowing I only needed a couple credit hours to finish the course needed to complete my GED it took me six years to accomplish what should have only taken me six months to a year to complete. The first year I enroll in this program that was not only going to assist me in getting my GED, but also offer on-site job training skills. I guess it true what they say “Time flies when you’re having fun.” But by the fourth year I had pretty much had all the fun it was to have and decided that I was ready to focus on finishing what I had started and that was obtaining my GED. While everything was going to plan I was on the right track and things were on a roll only to stopped right in my tracks. I guess you can call it life’s bumps in the road, there is one that stands out in particular for me and that was the death of a close family member that completely caused me to lose all interest in everything. So the final two years procrastination was no longer apart of my vocabulary because I had made a promise to someone that I would finish what I started no matter what it
