In operating my research question which is stated as the following:
Why the process of permanency planning work in some states and not in others?
In listing variables; age, gender, race, kinship/non-kinship, and permanency planning. My independent variable is permanency planning, dependent variable is the age out process including the long and short term effect of success in life. The mechanism is permanent placement of the child. I will gather participants who related to my research question.
Question: Do we need to have written or verbal consent from participants that we interview?
The variables previously stated will lead to the population that are key factors in who gets permanent living arrangement within or without of foster care.
