2) Contact a union: It is crucial that you have the support of an established union in order to back up your cause. They will supply you with a full time organizer, supplies, and a lawyer if you are targeted by unfairly by management. Most importantly, make sure that the union contacted is appropriate for your said workplace. You wouldn't want to contact a union that is for electricians, when you work in the communication industry.
3) Master the 'union conversation": What this means is know how to talk to your coworkers about this real and serious subject. It's not always easy speaking to coworkers casually about this subject matter. Your first 'union' conversation must be meaningful and effective, as you only have one real shot of making your point and winning over the masses.
