There are now parties around the holidays where tacky attire is a requirement. During the parties, there are often awards for the "ugliest" or "tackiest" sweater present. In case you are fresh out of tacky sweaters and don't want to spend money on something you are wearing for its tackiness factor but you still want to win that award, consider making your own this year. The following are a few tips to get you started:

Add Lights if Possible:
Another great way to add some tacky to any Christmas sweater is to light it up. You can find light strands that operate on battery power. If you use the lights for your Christmas tree look, you can add real ornaments (mini variety) and lights for an even more "tacky" effect.
Incorporate Sound Effects:

MIAMI — It had just finished raining, in that swift and furious Miami way, and the director Barry Jenkins and the playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney were heading through the Liberty Square housing projects. The two men strolled past crumpled snack wrappers and empty Olde English beer cans, broken toys and charcoal-colored rat traps. Then Mr. Jenkins stepped onto the patchy grass of the courtyard that sits between a grouping of desperate-looking buildings, low-slung and austere, the type of stingy architecture we’ve come to equate with housing for the poor. He stopped, raised his arms and spread them wide.…

As CCI note 13/3 mentions, my primary reason for choosing rolled storage for the scarf is that it is a space saver. Since folding the object is not recommended (Nielson 213), it would be difficult to find a storage space for the scarf that would be able to accommodate the length of the scarf without wasting storage space. Additionally, keeping the scarf rolled makes it much easier to move than if it was stored lying flat. The one pitfall to rolled storage is that in order to view the textile, a fair amount of handling has to ensue. However, attaching a tag with detailed information and a colour photo of the scarf, as detailed by CCI note 13/3, helps to reduce the amount of handling that could occur by allowing staff to see what it is without…
