How To Survive 9th Grade In 2016 20.5 million students where expected to attend American colleges and Universities. If students want to go to college they need to pay attention to their grades. Their GPA has to be decent to get into a good college. Students need to start to focus on school and be more mature to get the good grades they want. There are a few actions eighth graders should take when they come to high school in order to have a positive experience.
The first thing everyone needs to know when entering ninth grade is maturity. Middle school and high school are two different things and that means two different attitudes. In middle school anyone can act like a little kid and get away with it. In high school you need to start acting like an adult, not only to themselves but everyone's life around them. Maturity will make everyone's life a lot easier. I have friends who were immature and they started getting yelled at for it. Everyone should mature before getting into high school.
Another detail every new high schooler should know about high school is how important grades are. Everything that's done in high school counts against students futures in life.
