How to end a relationship properly You’ve been going through it for a while now and the time has come to breakup with your partner. For whatever reason, promises were broken or you just know they’re not the one, you’ve made up your mind to end it all up. But it’s hard to know how to end a relationship the right way if that makes sense. Often, many will try to breakup over text or even tell their partner they “just need a break” as a way to soften the situation. But, you’re only postponing the inevitable and dragging out the pain for both of yourselves. Don’t say you need a break if you’re mindset on ending the relationship completely. “The best time is when you’re 90% sure that it’s the right thing for you to do. You may be wanting to take the easy way out and just text her/him, since it’s normal to want to avoid conflict and it’s not right it’s part of being mature. Be direct and honest, yet be nice and gentle. No one wants to be left or feel empty but at the same time you wants it to be over with. Relationships usually end because of behavioral issues, like what someone did or didn’t do. When your talking don’t make it seem like it’s all the other persons fault like don’t bring up dumb stuff they did because that will only make it worse. You can be like it’s not about you it’s about me even though it’s really about them because if they were good enough or meet your expectations you wouldn’t be in this position and breaking up. Don’t give them hope or promise something you know you wont do. You may feel guilty so you offer a something like we can still friends with your now ex, but unless that’s what you really want, don’t make promises you can’t keep just to make them feel better or you may risk having to do this whole situation all
