I went up a window and took some photos. Of the photos I took, I thought that is one was the most unique and I liked it the most. I thought this photo showed something unique shows something in our lives. So, what is this photo, why did I capture this, what challenges did I have capturing this, and why do people take are like photographs.
What is This Photo?
This photo shows quite a few things in the frame. Most of the shows some trees and a flowing river, going from each side. In the background, there’s a big with a bridge adjacent to it. To the right of the building, there’s a small park, mostly obscured by the trees in the foreground. Below the park, there’s a hill/ledge that leads up to the upper level. One challenge was trying to make as little movement as possible while trying to capture. I didn’t have a stand to place the camera on, so I just took it and tried to stay still as possible. When trying to capture this, any slight and quick movement could blur the photo and make the camera out the focus. Another challenge I had was trying to avoid getting my own reflection in the photo. If the photo had a camera in it, it would make the photo seem a little weird and make it obvious that it was captured behind a window. I wanted to capture to scenery, not the window. Another challenge was making sure random things weren’t in the photo, whether it be behind or in front of the window. With things unnecessarily obscuring or grabbing attention, it could have ruined the attention of this photo. One more challenge was making sure that the window was clean (for this photo). Though capturing a scene where the window has things on it may be used for artistic purposes, I don’t think mine would need those things in the window. Without things obscuring the intended photo, it makes the photo clear and “visible.” You, even though doing photography can be challenging, by getting all of the elements correct, it’s interesting why people take photographs as art.
