Results Overview The different types of data collected provided insight into the ten participants’ thoughts relative to their overall feelings about the instruction and revealed the effectiveness and impact of the instruction. The pre- and post-test provided the opportunity to compare the results between topic questions which the instruction readily addressed and others where there may have been some ambiguity. I read an article called “Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program with Troubled Adolescents” written by Sarah Edelman. In this article, counselors in Sydney, Australia designed a cognitive behavior therapy program. This program was designed to assist troubled teens in school since they have not responded well to the regular classroom. The teens in this group have suffered from psychological issues such as anxiety and depression while others lacked motivation and had learning disabilities. While researching, I used the pyramid curriculum and these techniques previously stated to focus on the progress that students had during the research project. The students in the classroom were observed for at least 10 minutes three times a week. The observations collected were completed by a paraprofessional and myself and completed with positive (plus signs) and negative (subtraction sign) marks next to the behaviors of the children during these observations.
