Hunger in America has become a serious issue. Many households have gone hungry and cannot afford or find any source of food. This may be due to the household members being unable to find well paying jobs or having too many household members to be able to feed all. In the United States, the USDA(United States Department of Agriculture) defines “food insecurity” as having less than enough food for every member of the household. According to the USDA, about 49 million people in the US are in households that are having trouble finding food to eat. There are many organizations and programs trying to solve this problem of hunger. These include: Feeding America, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP), The Emergency Food Assistance Program,
