College is hard work but the reward you receive in the long run is more than worth it. Striving to have a career in a field that is forever growing and rewarding takes long hours, long days, sleepless nights and perseverance. Graduating from college with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice is something to be proud of and looking into the future fifteen (15) years from now, I will be working in a potentially great law enforcement agency supervising and watching over criminal offenders that are on parole or probation. “When a judge sentences someone to probation, the judge believes the convicted individual can turn from criminal activity with some guidance from a probation officer.” (Roberts, 2016) No matter the job title it is one that this person is proud to upload after achieving the Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Pushing yourself to learn more is what puts the bar high for those under you trying to achieve the same thing. These are just a few things that can be helpful in the line of work for parole officers. As we have all seen just by turning on the TV, the world we live in today is nowhere from being a peaceful one by no means and to be more knowledgeable of the proper way to handle certain situations can not only help a law enforcement officer’s life, it can help the one that poses a substantial threat to all. When working in a law enforcement agency, it would be beneficial for the department in general to supply the classes for the person to become more precise and excel at their job duties. It seems that more companies have offered to help their employees not only better themselves but as well prove to be a valuable asset for the company as well.
