Pro-life
Pro-choice or pro-life, has been an age old debate that has plagued Americans for many years. Although abortion has officially been legal since the Supreme Court declared it legal with Roe v. Wade court case in 1973, the debate has continued to brew. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed in the United States more than any other procedure. In my opinion abortions should be illegal because you are taking a person’s life; adoption is always an option, and abortion causes psychological damage.

Personally, I believe abortion should be illegal because you are taking a person’s life away. Dr. Alfred M. Bongioanni, professor of pediatrics and obstetrics

Sometimes pregnancy does happen at a time in our lives where you are not financially or mentally ready to take care of another life. Just because you get pregnant doesn’t mean you are stuck in a situation with no way out but abortion. Adoption is a wonderful option that can allow you to give your baby a better chance at life. An unplanned pregnancy does not have to end in abortion. There are millions of people in the world willing to give your baby the life and love it deserves. Women who have fertility problems or gay couples are looking for the chance to raise a baby of their own. Abortion should be illegal because abortion is a better …show more content…
I would counter argue this with, it’s not just your body anymore there’s the life of someone who has yet to live also residing inside of that body. When you take that risk of becoming pregnant, you are accepting all the risks that come with that choice. Abortion should be illegal not only because you are taking a person’s life away and adoption is always an option but also because abortion can cause numerous psychological problems.
In my opinion abortion should be illegal because of the psychological damage it can cause when you choose to abort a baby. Abortion is a huge decision to make and those who choose to make it often do not come back from it emotionally unaffected. Often women regret their decision to have an abortion and become extremely depressed because of it. According to The Daily Mail reporter, Steve Doughty, “studies showed that those who undergo abortion face nearly double the risk of mental health difficulties compared with others and that one in ten of all mental health problems was a result of an

Abortion is one of the most controversial and hotly debated topics of this day and age. The reason for this surrounds the idea of whether the induced expulsion of the fetus is murder or rather in the interest of the mother. Pro-life activists debate that all life in the instant of its conception is innocent and deserves a chance at life. God chooses its time of life and death, not the mother. Pro-choice followers often argue in favor of science and the United States Constitutional Ninth Amendment, which holds freedom of choice sacred.…

Many people who are pro-life would argue that abortion should remain illegal. However, abortion should be legalized because restricting abortions lead to unsafe abortions which cause far more health issues, every woman has the right to choose what to do with her own body and the government should have no say, and fetuses are not viable up to twenty three weeks and therefore have no human rights. According to the World Health…

I believe adoption is a good solution to that problem. Many people would disagree, saying that it would be too hard on the mother to carry the child and then give it up, but I believe that if a woman is willing to take the life of her unborn child then it shouldn’t be even more difficult for her to put her baby up for adoption. There are many couples in the world that feel incomplete because of the inability to get pregnant, and adoption is a way that these couples can finally have the family that they’ve always wanted. When seeking an abortion woman should take the option of adoption into consideration and allow someone else to give their child the love and happy life that they could not…

Abortion is a touchy issue. Many say it is okay, others are totally against it, and some think it’s acceptable, depending of the circumstances. In my opinion, it’s wrong and not at all necessary, unless in the case of pregnancy, the mother is informed she will perish during the pregnancy term. Science continues to say a fetus is only a small “lump of tissue” but it isn’t, it’s human, it is a life. We are taught, “You shall not murder,” yet there are about 100, 000 lives aborted yearly.…

About 1.21 million abortions are performed per year, and 125,000 abortions per day. Thats a lot of precious lives lost. The procedures can be very disturbing. some women may think it’s the best choice for them but the child could have a better life if she chose to have the baby and put it up for adoption instead of “killing” the helpless child. In my opinion abortion should be banned in the united states.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

There have been 57 million deaths of unborn babies since 1973 when abortion became legal. That is one baby being aborted every 24 seconds (“10 Reasons Why Abortion is Evil”). If abortion wouldn’t be legal, it would give the couples who want to become parents a better chance of adopting a newborn baby. Studies showed that in 2014, 58 percent of the American people were against abortions (Bensen). Abortion should be illegal because life begins at conception and medical complications can arise from abortions (safety of mother first).…

Many have different reason to why they do, but either way it is wrong and it should not be legal. Throughout the years, the abortion rate has gone up severely. All of the abortions that happen can not just be from health issues or rape. A study shows that many abortions recently are just because the mother is not ready for a baby. “In 2010, more than half of all pregnancies were unintended in 28 states; in the remainder of the states, a minimum of 36% of pregnancies were unintended” (Wind, 1).…
