Based on all of the information that I have read online I have come to the conclusion that I am pro legalizing marijuana. I do realize that there are many disadvantages to legalizing marijuana but I also see many more advantages to it. Many people think that legalizing marijuana perpetuates and extends the problem of addiction and the other negative aspects of consuming marijuana, but not many of them know the positives.
There have been many proposals by different theorists that legalizing marijuana can actually boost revenue for the states. Prohibition of weed does not stop people from buying it. The government should make it legal and tax it like any other product just as they did alcohol many years ago. Having this new item on the market will cause a jump in revenue. Taxes that people pay on weed can help build roads, make repairs and adjustments etc. A down side is boosting revenue for the states cost more for the consumer, especially the avid marijuana consumer.
Many people in the world rely on marijuana in medicinal ways. People have reported that marijuana has helped them cope with pain, nausea, and other symptoms they have from existing medical conditions.
