Immigration has always been a largely discussed thing where people always seem to but heads on the subject. Immigration is basically when someone leaves their country of citizenship and go to a foreign state/country to become a citizen. The reason people argue so much about immigration is because there are two different types which some people don’t distinguish when talking about immigration. Basically, there’s coming to a country legally and going through the steps and then there’s just migrating to an area without becoming a legal citizen. According to the (MPI)Migration Policy institute there were 11 million people living in the US illegally. Why some people don’t see this as a problem for many reasons one of the main ones is that they were running away from their country and can’t afford the time and money it takes to become a citizen. Now while yes we should feel a little bad for people in the situations but that doesn’t mean they should be able to come to a country for free and live here tax free. Now yes they don’t have as good of paying jobs since there not legal here so there is nothing enforcing minimum wage which helps American companies pay for more labor. But the problem is when this happens this diminishes that field of work and makes it harder to find a job and the pay won’t be as good. I don’t think it is fair how long the process of becoming a citizen takes but that just means we need to make that reform to make it faster. It does not give people the right to come here illegally since it’s too hard. If we make a reform to this, then it will put a big stop from people coming here illegally. People come to this country in so many ways to live here: on a boat, hiding in a car, flying in, and even walking in! Most of the illegal immigrants that live in the US come from Mexico and Central America, according to the MPI about 7.9 million came from there from 2012-2014. Us a country need to work on our policies for immigration but still doesn’t make a difference that everyone should pay taxes and contribute to the country and its people instead of living off
