Pro athletes, entertainers we root for them, we love them. They get to live a great life with all the money they earn but do they deserve that money, yes their talented but they don't save lives like doctors do or even go on dangerous missions to save people like firefighters and cops do but they get all this money and spend it pointless and worthless things. Who needs gold teeth or anything of the like ? The fact that we can do more for the people who need the money with the money instead of giving it to pro athletes to buy a mansion makes me feel sick that were wasting money. Pro athletes are talented but we can use the money we give them to give to the needy, use for education, and help build and fund medical centers and research for cancer …show more content…
That's not true. While pro athletes do train hard and work hard so do many other jobs that are more needed then theirs, that protect and save lives while they are just entertainment but the jobs that are important like doctors, cops, and teachers don't get that much money. Most people do think pro athletes don't get paid in the off season but they do. According to sports.stackexchange.com, "The league's standard paydays are on the 1st and 15th of each month, beginning November 151. For contracts signed under the current CBA, the default is 24 paychecks paid over one calendar year. Teams and players whose salaries are over the minimum salary can also agree to a 12-check or 36-check schedule, paid over six months or 18 months, respectively. For contracts signed under the previous CBA the standard is 12 paychecks paid over six months, with teams and players also able to negotiate a schedule of 24 paychecks paid over 12 months."Tons of jobs put people at risk , doctors are at risk of contamination, firefighters are at risk of dying in a fire. Pro sports isn't the most dangerous job in the world. Other jobs and people are more deserving of that
