Are Professional Athletes Overpaid For, decades people have argued whether professional athletes get overpaid. Many believe that professional athletes are being overpaid; the belief is that they are getting too much money for what they are doing. However, others argue that athletes work their entire life to become what they are and make sacrifices to do so. While, it is true that professional athletes do work very hard to achieve their goals, ultimately these individuals make too much money for what they do. Though, many people believe athletes earn the money they get, facts indicate that these players should not receive the salaries they get.
One reason why athletes are overpaid is that they do not help society and get paid more than any other professions do. Athletes are there for entertainment, they have no benefits in the world for us. The army, they go to Iraq and fight against other countries to keep us safe. Athletes compete against other teams for the fun of it.
