Pre-Article Thoughts. Being a straight, white, Christian, female in America, I easily could tell anyone I am “privileged.” This term, to me, has always seen to have a negative connotation to it. It implies being separated out, being a part of a group of ‘elite’ or belonging to the social norm. This implies that most people are accepting of you based on preconceived notions and stereotypical thoughts.
