Earth is the only place that we as humans know where life exists. It is the only place where we are able to do our regular chores, using many different resources. However, human activities using significant amount of burning of fossil fuels, agricultural and industrial process are increasing the atmospherics concentrations substance that is affecting the climate changes. They don 't realize that in the future it’s going to cost us and the life on earth will become hard to live. In order to prevent this from happening, we as people need to reduce in resources, especially by the affluent group of people. Affluence includes the people who are rich and constantly over consuming all the natural resources that are non-renewable to fulfill their wants …show more content…
The use of private cars has increased significantly over the years. As compared to the old days, today’s day more people have their own transportation. “According to a report from Ward 's Auto released last week, the global number of cars exceeded 1.015 billion in 2010, jumping from 980 million the year before”(Tencer). Driving cars that produce that produces a lot of harmful toxic emissions. All in all, driving cars around cause more problems than it does well. The car exhaust releases carbon dioxide, which, affect drastically to our global warming. There are alternative such and electric and hybrid cars that produce less emission, however, it takes a lot of time and energy to build hybrid and electric cars. There are problems both ways, but the use of private cars is higher. The best solution for solving this issue would be to use in less private cars. People should carpool, whether going to work and college doing this there will be less use of Private …show more content…
Recycling water bottles and soda cans reduce a great amount of our waste production, reusing this will decrease the gas emissions. EPA estimates that cutting back waste generation to a level consistent with 1990 could reduce GHG emissions by 11.6 million metric tons of carbon equivalent (MMTCE). There are many various ways that community can reduce the greenhouse gas emissions through recycling. One they are too by purchasing a recycled product. Like cities like Salisbury in North Carolina “is the first city in the country to use locally manufactured 100 percent recycled bricks and brick pavers in city-wide improvements” (EPA). Purchasing recycled products, we conserve land and reduce the need for oil. Another main important factor in making recycled product is that it saves Clean Air and Water, by doing this there will be less air pollution and will save significant amount of money for the

The more the factories burn fossil fuels the more pollution it will cause, meaning more greenhouse effect due to the waste gases that is produced, which can cause a climate change. To reduce the burning of fossil fuels, we should take energy saving in consideration. This is why energy saving in my opinion is the easiest way that we can do to help reducing global warming. One of the best ways we can do that is by replacing our old regular incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs (cfl), since CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb. Also we can turn off the lights and electrical devices that we are not using.…

The pollution created by most petroleum vehicles is a big cause of global warming. As pointed out by: Siena Kaplan, Brad Heavner, and Rob Sargent, "Plug-in cars ... produce less global warming pollution, emit little or no pollution from the tailpipe, and reduce our dependence on oil” (Plug-in Electric Vehicles Will Reduce Air Pollution). One of the most important things we need to consider, is where we get our energy. Some parts of the country obtain their energy from coal; which is not a clean source of energy for pollution reduction. The energy source we need to advance in, is clean energy.…

Obtaining less foreign oil, as a nation will help the U.S. reduce the amount of money spent on buying and transporting oil into the United States. Especially since fossil fuels are limited resources, they will only be available a little while longer because we are using them for cars and energy . Using more electric and hybrid cars as a country will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels. Electric cars and hybrid cars also produce less noise pollution. Most cars use Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) that produce more noise than electric and hybrid engines .…

Trying other alternatives like walking and bike riding as well as city transportation systems. In addition, going green is on the rise and buying energy efficient products can benefit. There are many home appliances on the market now that range in energy- efficient models. Similar, using less hot water can save as well.…

Hybrid and electric vehicles are the future of transportation. CO2 levels rising, causing such harm to the environment from gasoline powered vehicles, but not everyone is for the alternative energy vehicles. We love our fast cars that are able to travel far distances without having to worry about recharging up when it only takes a few minutes to get a few gallons of gas. However, if we don’t try and give the alternative energy vehicles a chance; who knows how long it will take for the pollution from the gasoline powered vehicles to destroy our environment. The problem with gasoline powered vehicles is that high amounts of CO2 are released into the atmosphere, causing “Desertification, Increased melting of snow and ice, Sea level rise, Stronger storms and extreme events”(whatsyourimpact.org) But with electric powered vehicles we can reduce the levels of CO2 in the air if we look at “The report, “Driving Cleaner: More Electric Vehicles Mean Less Pollution,” shows that electric vehicles could prevent more than 18 million metric tons of climate-changing carbon pollution annually in the U.S. by 2025.” (Madsen).…

Optimal Sustainability for Transportation Global Warming is spiraling out of control causing increasing atmospheric temperature which contributes to negative climate changes. Due to transportation emitting twenty-three percent of greenhouse gas emissions, it is only fair to say that countries all over the world should enforce proper regulations and requirements to slow down these emissions. Renewable energies has created many solutions for reduce greenhouse gases. Once these alternatives are implemented more effectively the dilemma of global warming will become less of an issue. Integrating low burning fuels, frequent car maintenance, and shifting to minimal public transit services can have exceptional results towards reducing greenhouse gases.…

The software activated full emissions controls during testing but reduces the effectiveness during regular driving. As a result, the cars emit nitrogen oxides at up to 40 times more than the allowable standard. The software enables cars to get better fuel economy at the cost of higher nitrogen oxide emissions (Boston et al., 2015). Volkswagen tried to sell their cars saying their cars had better performance and lower emissions but they did not mention the nitrogen emissions. Emission of up to 40 times more nitrogen by Volkswagen cars was a bad hit for the environment.…

If one’s work place is close, then take a bicycle or walk instead of driving, and if one works far away, then buy a hybrid or use an alternative fuel such as biodiesel fuel. Biodiesel is really good as it uses fuel made from everyday renewable resources, like vegetable oils or animal fats. Given that electricity production generates more than 1.9 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year, buying eco-bulbs is a good idea (“10 Ways…”1). Also, increasing our national recycling rate from its current level would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by almost 10 million metric tons of carbon equivalent (MMTCE). In doing so, we will cut the emissions by more than 21.4 MMTCE which is roughly the consumption of electricity in 11 million households (“Source Reduction…” 1).…

This can surely reduce the effect of green house that is currently one of the critical problem that is occurring in our world. Through an experiment that had been done by Nagi J., et al. (2008), fossil diesel produce more carbon dioxide emission rather than palm bio diesel. This is due to the oxygenated nature of palm oil that causes the reduction of carbon dioxide emission. As cited by Chin, Choong, W. W. and Alwi (2014), this can be a counter step to ensure that carbon dioxide production can be minimized as the current fuel, fossil fuel have been already marked as one of the largest carbon contributor in the world (Kamalrudin Mohammed Salleh, et al., 2016).…
