What this firm consists of working on is a single business mostly with billing and accounts payable. If you are working for a private firm you really don’t need your CPA degree but you may need a different type of certification. While both of them are high in demand it will still be smart for you to start with a job in the public firm because you work with more businesses and will know how to handle almost every situations and have better knowledge on how different companies function. If you go from a private firm to a public firm it will be hard because you only know one company and were doing the same things over and over again where in public you were able to do multiply forms, auditing, and etc. so this is why most accountants say how easy it is to go from public to private
