Privacy is always a huge matter for people. It protects the right of human to look forward freedom. Since the Internet came out, a new type of privacy, which is the Internet privacy appears. And as the Internet develops rapidly, privacy on the Internet becomes more and more important in our lives. However, this kind of privacy just like other types of privacy, which may be violated by many factors. Once information is leaked online, it spreads rapidly. As Natalie Fenton said in his article, “News In The Digital Age”, “The Internet has enable journalists to get data without having leave the newsroom. Reporters can be downloaded in seconds, public database interrogated in a fraction of the time it would have take previously.” And information online cannot only be used by journalists, but also normal people. Most of privacy leaks happen because of users mistakes, such as, using too simple passwords, posting too much personal information online and not using security questions for their accounts. According to Lydia Saad’s article “Few Web Users Paying Close Attention to Internet Privacy Issue”, “ Yet only 16% report paying very close attention to such issues such as the confidentiality of personal information transmitted.” And also, users level leaks are the easiest leaks for hackers to access. Unlike software bugs which are very difficult for hackers to find out, users leaks are very easy for hackers to find out. And this situation is very easy to change. Such as using higher security level passwords, changing our online habits, and updating our computer systems often.
