Priscilla and her husband Aquilla are a married couple who are forced out of Rome because of their belief in Jesus Christ, when reading about their lives one cannot be mentioned without the other one. They set an example on how married couples can be happily married and work together side by side to serve the Lord. In the Bible, Priscilla and Aquila are dedicated followers of Christ and make it their lives mission to serve God in sharing his Gospel among the Gentiles. Aquila and Priscilla are named together, but when Paul addresses them in his letters, her name appears first implying that she is more well-known then Aquilla among the Gentiles. We can see in the Bible that Priscilla and Aquila are as one because they are always mentioned together, and their purpose is one which is to establish churches and teach the Gospel. …show more content…

McCarty’s article “Prisca-Fellow Tent-maker and Fellow Missionary of Paul: Acts 18.2-3, 18, 26; Romans 16:3-4; 1 Corinthians 16: 19; 2 Timothy 4:19” he writes about Priscilla as an equal to Paul, her leadership and significance in the work of the early Christian movement. Priscilla together with Aquilla are known as the for holding church meetings in their house. According to Elizabeth Fletcher’s website womeninthebible “Pricilla (Prisca)-Early Christian woman” Priscilla from Fletcher’s perspective is a loyal and close friend to Paul who risks her life to help him, she is also a successful leader in the Christian community along with her husband Aquila. Priscilla shows to be the dominant person in the relationship between her and Aquila.
