During numerous times throughout the fiscal year, he was called in to act as the SNCOIC for extended periods of time. Although the junior Marine in the Sector, he expertly managed senior recruiters during these periods. During the most recent instance, he ran the sector for almost two months during the close-out of FY15 and the beginning of FY16. He arguably ran the sector as well if not better than the actual SNCOIC, achieving mission, and closing the delta on portions of the Manpower Plan that had been neglected. Sgt Chmielewski’s statistics and measurements of effectiveness were unmatched within District and his APR of 5.17 with only 7.1% attrition and 62 joins would humble and inspire any career recruiter. His unmatched tenacity, technical proficiency in the skills required for successful recruiting, and unrelenting drive to support the reserve component have made him one of the best Prior Service Recruiters in the nation. Sergeant Chmielewski is a dedicated team player who raises the level of both expectations and performance of those around him. He understands his supported units’ manpower requirements and proactively helps to manage and shape their combat readiness by meticulously recruiting to their needs only the highest quality candidates. Sergeant Chmielewski embodies an impressive military appearance, looks immaculate in uniform, and maintains a perfect level of physical fitness. This is an outstanding Marine Noncommissioned Officer, who I would seek to serve with in any clime, location, or environment. I sincerely believe that he will be a tremendous asset to Marine Corps Recruiting Command as an career recruiter if given the opportunity. I truly don’t believe that this Marine will ever accept mission failure for himself or his fellow Marines.
