Principia's Big Bash Essay

I have attended Jefferson R-VII school district since Preschool and my experience, from my knowledge then, was great. However, when I attended Principia’s Big Bash and helped the senior class president try and break the Guinness World Record for most people to pass through a hula-hoop and I saw on what I was missing out on. From random people I’ve never met before walking up to me and my family and introducing themselves, to all the fun activities Big Bash had to offer. Seeing all this, I was excited to meet up with Mrs. Fox and tour the school. I saw how hands on the school is and how connected the teachers are to their students, and how Christian Science is the one thing everyone attending the school has in common. I also see Principia taking

My first memory at North Carolina Governor’s School West is of crying next to my parents on a bench under a giant tree. It was move-in day for the five-and-a-half-week session, and I was already sure that they would be the worst weeks of my life. I was terrified; I knew no one except two students from my high school, who were rising juniors and to whom I had never spoken before. After that stressful first day, I fell asleep unsure of how I could make it on my own in a place filled with such talented, intelligent, and unfamiliar people. A week later, I knew that Governor’s School would be one of the most treasured experiences of my entire life.…

My time at Barnegat High School has helped me to become who I am today and will most defiantly impact what I will do in the future. The teachers and my peers have all been an influence on my life and during the four years that I spent at the school, I have done some things for the school and the community as a way to thank them for giving me the opportunities that they have. It was they who pushed me to keep trying and striding to succeed and without them, I would not have accomplished what I have today. One of the things that I am most proud of doing is helping to bring new clubs and activities to Barnegat High School. This year, with the help of other students and advisors, a new club made it into the ranks of the diverse sea of clubs and groups that already exist.…

As concerned parents of students, at Legacy Traditional School of Maricopa, this letter is to inform you that our tolerance for the disorganization and lack of discipline that has occurred in Legacy Maricopa is officially depleted. While Legacy School continues to grow, leadership at the Maricopa Campus has failed over the last few years to make good on the promise stated in the school Philosophy and mission statement "Legacy Traditional School mission is to provide motivated students with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in an accelerated, back-to-basics, safe learning environment taught by caring, knowledgeable and highly effective educators in cooperation with supportive, involved parents." Governor’s School Last summer, I attended governor's school west where three hundred and twenty-five bright and open-minded students from all across North Carolina gathered for five and a half weeks in a college campus setting. To me, this was a big milestone in life that changed me for the better. We left our cozy lives of families and friends to start with a clean slate with strangers we’ve never seen in our lives. At first, we thought of it as a sacrifice of our summer to glamorize our college application, but throughout the program we experienced things that exceeded beyond our expectations.…

I knew before I applied to Liberty University that I wanted to be a part of the Honors Program. After attending a question and answer session regarding the program last year, the Honors Program seemed to be a place where I could challenge myself in my courses and make life-long friends along the way. The environment seemed warm and accepting, yet also competitive and encouraging. After learning about all the Honors Program has to offer, I know it will be a wonderful fit for me during my time at Liberty University. One of the greatest benefits I hope to gain from the Honors Program at Liberty University is an excellent education that aligns with my faith.…

There are many justifications as to why I decided to attend American Public University (APUS). The three main reasons: I want to be an encouragement to my children, I want a solid career foundation, plus enhancing my education will also help me to improve my own self-assurance. Establishing a positive atmosphere, and being an example of encouragement for my children is the most significant reason for my decision to attend American Public University. I know it will be a challenge, but I want my children to understand that it is easier to struggle to further your education, than it is to struggle enduring poverty from lack of a degree. American Public University can help me to realize my dreams of being an inspiration to my children.…

Before the fourth grade, the thought of practicing my nonexistent Polish when my grandmother called our landline caused me to dash out the room. I was raised in America, and partaking in my Polish culture was simply a way to ease my parent’s nostalgia for their “Polska.” After moving there for a year, I learned new traditions and developed intimate connections with my family. I finally considered myself a Polish-American.…

This week, as we left class, Angylyne and I discussed the documentary, Precious Knowledge, all the way to the Armitage el stop where we parted ways. It was hard to believe that the education board of Arizona had such a problem with the Latin Studies Program. In high school, I took both AP US History and AP European History. In both of these courses, we learned about radical thinkers and doers and people who decided to revolt against the status quo. Both of these courses are fine for students to learn, it’s fine for us to learn about Napoleon and the American Revolution, so what makes the history of Latin American different?…

My field observations took place at Renaissance Charter School at Central Palm. I honestly had a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed my time there. I was assigned to Ms. Pickholtz’s 1st grade class. When I first arrived to the charter school I was extremely nervous and a little anxious because just the thought of actually helping a teacher run a class seemed scary to me because I felt like I would do a horrible job at it. However, I was welcomed by both the teacher and the class…

Before this class, I had never been to a school board meeting and I decided to go back to the district where I went and to see how things are going since I have graduated. Since I went to a school that is in the class of 3A, it didn’t last as long as I would have compared to the bigger school district like those here in Topeka. I went to the meeting on November 13th and since they stick to the agenda so well it was over in about an hour and I stayed for the whole time, minus the tour of RHS. Since there are only four schools in the district, each year the school board visits each school for a meeting and goes on a “tour” after the meeting to see if anything needs to be changed in the future.…
