Princess Diana Every girl dreams about being a Princess. Diana Spencer got to live that dream. Her dreams came true at first when she met Prince Charles of Wales and married him. As time went on her life would not be as she dreamed. Diana’s life was a mixture of good and bad events.
Diana Spencer was born on July 1, 1961 in Sandringham, Norfolk, England. She was the fourth child of five, with one sibling who died at birth, leaving two older sisters and a younger brother ("Princess Diana." Biography for Kids). Diana's father was originally a Viscount when she was born. Her father then inherited the title of Earl Spencer in 1975, she became Lady Diana Spencer (“Princess Diana” The Biography.com).

Her father and family lived on a large estate called Park House, in Norfolk ("Princess Diana." Biography for Kids). When she was eight Diana’s parents divorced (Diana, Princess of Wales). Her mother ran off with Peter Shand-Kydd (Diana, Princess of Wales). The custody of the children was given to her father (Diana, Princess of Wales). Being princess comes with duties. Some of her duties at the beginning included visiting sick people in the hospitals and representing the royal family at events (“Nannies tell new details of Princess Diana's childhood“). Princess Diana gave birth to two princes, Prince William on June 22, 1982 and Prince Henry (Harry) two years later (Diana, Princess of Wales). She also lead a campaign to rid the world of landmines.
