Princess Bride Book Vs Movie

The romantic comedy film, Princess Bride, is filled with fantasy and adventure. See the famous 1973 novel come alive on the big screen. There are many characters to fall in love with and many quotes that will be worth remembering. To see William Goldman's book be turned into an entertaining film by the director, Rob Reiner, brings true satisfaction.
The movie starts off when a young boys grandfather comes to visit him while he is sick. The child isn't too happy about it and wants him to leave. But the grandfather pulls out a book that he would read to his kids when they were sick. The magical book is called "Princess Bride". As the grandfather begins to read, the movie is flipped to the perspective of the story. The book is about a young man

The dialogue between the characters are very memorable and comical. The plotline keeps the movie going and, in my opinion, the film is engaging and grabs the attention of the audience. This is a movie I would choose to watch for entertainment or just to pass time. My childhood consists of enjoying the movie with my family and yelling at my sister to stop quoting the film. It brings back memories and, hopefully, it will continue to help me make memories. The actors that played the characters in the film brought the film to life. The director was not lazy with the casting either. For the part of the giant, the producers got a giant to play the part. They did not have some one walk on stilts or standing on a platform. To me this is important because it shows that the director cared about the outcome of the production. Some things I learned from this is film goes along with the famous saying true love conquers all. The movie showed that if you truly love someone, you would go to great extremes for them. Another moral I interrupted from the film is not to be prideful. The character Vizzini was killed in a battle of wits. His knowledge was what he would brag about to everyone he mt. Prince Humperdink was known to be courageous and skilled in fighting, but when the time came he was simply taken down by being told to sit

Coming from the view of somebody who has read the Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, I was hesitant to watch the movie as I believed that it would alter my feelings that I had about the characters if they acted differently as I imagined. However, the cast members acted precisely as explained in the book. Audrey Hepburn acted with the exact accent and attitude as she should have and her relationship with Higgins and Pickering just seemed so real! While watching the movie I honestly forgot that they were acting and I believed I was watching the whole story unfold before my eyes.…

Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film Romeo + Juliet is an effective interpretation of William Shakespeare's original drama. The film is an effective interpretation because the film was entertaining, viewers would be able to believe it was a real film from now about Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, and the film was moving. The film was entertaining because the film had parts that were humorous, intriguing, and sorrowful. One of the humorous parts of the film was when Mercutio was at the Capulet’s party and started dancing in the dress he had on.…

In The movie The Pearl There were many thing that were similar to the book. One example, is that coyotito was stung by a scorpion. I am glad that they kept this in the movie because it was a key role in the book because After that they had to travel to the doctor the she if they can help then, then the doctor finds out they have the pearl, then that leads to him being hunted. Also, they kept the scene of Kino finding the pearl because without this pearl the whole movie would be called The Pearl and. they wouldn't have been hunted either.…

Comparing the movie A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and the reading of Plautus’ Pseudolos were both inspired by the farces of ancient Rome. The plot displays a lot of slamming doors, and mistaken identities involving the characters. I will be using the characters names from the movie rather than from the reading, because both have different names. The movie was a play written by Platutus.…

The scenic, costume, light and sound designers did a wonderful work in supporting the production concept. The scenic design created a dark, and dirty scenes to help look that the town was an untrusted place, one time it was morning Seymour when to talk to Audrey, it was a short conversation and when he went back to the shop it turned into night really fast. The costume did a well job in making the clothes for the people in other to make them assist to their personalities, and also made the chorus stand out of the compared to other characters. The sound designer did the opposite of the other designers and he brought happiness and laughter to the movie, when a character or the chorus sung usually created a brighter scene. My favorite actor in this movie as Steve Martin as Orin Scrivello the dentist.…

I personally enjoyed the film, although they suggested the events that were to occur later, I kept watching with enthusiasm because I wanted to see how they would play out. The diction that the brothers used throughout the film created a negative attitude towards them, although Winthorpe and Billy Ray were the ones to be involved in a legal mess, other characters gained sympathy. Ophelia and Coleman were the ones I was rooting for, they had a job of taking care of others needs from the beginning of the film, and were taken advantage of without receiving appreciation. The wealthy characters such as Penelope and her friends, through the diction and the events were not very liked. The story plaid on a serious issue, which was people’s overwhelming need to consume no matter who or how many people they took advantage of.…
